About Live Like Blaine Foundation

Live Like Blaine Foundation honors Blaine Steinberg, an accomplished athlete, student and leader who passed away suddenly in March 2014, just two weeks before her 21st birthday. Blaine’s undeniable work ethic and relentlessly positive attitude inspired her friends, teammates, coaches and teachers. Live Like Blaine was founded to share her spirit and passion with other young female athletes to help them become FIT TO LEAD. We promote a leadership model based on diversity and inclusion.

We have served over 1,000 girls in the last 5 years!
Together we are building the next generation of Female Leaders.

Live Like Blaine Foundation’s Mission

Live Like Blaine Foundation’s mission is to inspire and empower young women to become leaders through athletics, diversity and inclusion. Funding for Live Like Blaine supports our 4 core programs:

Annual Captains’ Practice Leadership Conference for over 150 girls from diverse area high schools.
Live Like Blaine Leadership Academy, a year-long program for high school sophomore female student athletes. The Academy students participate in leadership training based on the 11 ways to Live Like Blaine, provide mentoring from female leaders in the community, attend an overnight retreat and participate in community service opportunities.
Summer Leadership Camp Experiences for female athletes to attend summer leadership camp experiences at the Julie Foudy Sports and Student Leadership Academy (JFSLA), Strive Sports Challenge, and GenHeration Discovery Days.
Funding for the Harlem Lacrosse program at two Philadelphia Middle Schools.

Who is putting on this event?

This event is being put together by the Live Like Blaine Foundation and is produced by Matchbox Virtual Media.

What is the format of the conference?

Coming soon.

Where is this event located?

This conference exists in the virtual space, as it gives us the opportunity to bring together professionals from around the world.

How do I access the event the day of?

On the day of the event, you will sign in to the event platform using the credentials you used to register yourself. You’ll then click the green ‘Launch Viewer’ button to access the event.

How can I ask speakers questions during the event?

The sessions are pre-recorded so that the speakers can spend the time answering attendee questions. They will be typing furiously to reply to as many questions as possible in the live chat!

Will there be opportunities to communicate with the speakers after their specific sessions?

You definitely can but it depends on individual preference of our speakers. But we highly encourage you to reach out to them after the session/event.

Can I communicate with other participants?

Absolutely! Throughout the sessions, there will be a live chat running simultaneously.

What platform are you using to stream the event?

Matchbox Virtual Media is proudly partner with CE21 to put on this event.

Are there any browsers that your platform does not support?
