Kerry Donahue is the Director of Training at PRX. She’s also been the Director of the Audio at Columbia Journalism School, an executive producer at WNYC, and she started her audio career at Audible where she created downloadable, on-demand audio programs long before podcasting became a thing.

Stephanie Kuo is the Senior Manager, Training at PRX. She’s an award-winning public radio reporter from Dallas where she covered poverty, homelessness and development at KERA. Stephanie’s podcast, Racist Sandwich, explores the intersection of food, race, class and gender. She studied journalism at the UT Austin and the Columbia Journalism School.

Se’era Spragley Ricks is the community manager of the PRX Podcast Garage, a community space focused on supporting the work of audio producers and storytellers. Glenn Ellis is a medical ethicist, researcher, lecturer and president of Strategies for Well-Being, LLC., a global consultancy that specializes in health education, equity, disparities, advocacy, policy and communication. Ellis is particularly interested in the ethical protection of rights for patients in medical care and clinical research.

Jacqueline Y. Hale, is a weightloss coach and corporate wellness consultant. She is a visionary in weight loss and wellness whose ability to educate her clients, uniquely creative methods of change management, and professional reputation have made her a success in the weight loss and wellness arena.

Dorothy Tucker was raised in Chicago’s Lawndale and Austin communities. She has been a reporter for CBS 2 Chicago since 1984. Currently, she is a reporter on the station’s 2 Investigator team and is President of the National Association of Black Journalists. Tucker has been honored numerous times throughout her career. Her many awards include several local Emmys, including one for her breaking news reports during the 2008 Northern Illinois University shootings and two for her work on CBS 2 Chicago′s 2003 and 2004 broadcasts of the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. She was honored by the Chicago Association of Black Journalists with their annual award for Outstanding Television Reporting (1994 and 1987) and received a national UPI Spot News Award. She joined CBS 2 Chicago from KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, where she worked as a general assignment reporter and talk show host. Before that, Tucker worked at KWGN-TV in Denver, as a general assignment reporter. Previously, she was a reporter and weekend anchor at WREG-TV in Memphis. (1979-80). Tucker began her broadcasting career in Peoria at WMBD-TV, after serving as an intern at CBS 2 Chicago in 1977. Tucker serves as a local Board member of NABJ-Chicago, is a former Board member of the Northwestern Alumni Association, and a current member of the Northwestern University Leadership Circle. Tucker graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Communications. She lives in Hyde Park and is married to Anthony Wilkins. They have three children.

Adam Symson is President and CEO of The E.W. Scripps Company. Prior to becoming CEO in August 2017, he was Scripps’ COO, overseeing the company’s broadcast TV, radio and digital media divisions. Symson was the company’s chief digital officer from 2011-16 driving the company’s digital transformation.

Kimberly Godwin is Executive Vice President of News at CBS News, where she has top editorial oversight of newsgathering around the world, including the national desks, foreign desks and bureaus. Godwin has served as a top CBS News editorial leader in multiple key positions since joining the network in 2007.

A licensed attorney, Cherry Reports on social justice and legal issues, filing radio, TV and digital reports. Cherri also hosts and executive produces “Flashpoint,” an award winning public affairs show that airs on five radio stations.

Alexis Johnson, is a Reporter at the Pittsburgh Gazette. A Pittsburgh Native, she joined PG in 2018 as a Digital News Editor. Johnson began her career as a TV reporter in West Virginia. She eventually transitioned to print/digital, working as a breaking news reporter at NJ.com.

Jason Fuller, is a Reporter/Producer for Virginia Public Radio based out of Washington D.C. Jason also works as an Assistant Producer at NPR. He’s worked as a web producer for Localore’s Anacostia Unmapped and as a contributing reporter for WAMU and at WTOP as an assistant editor.

Amber Jaynes Casanave is owner of CAS + Company, a marketing communications agency that helps brands transform the way they communicate to consumers. Amber has over 20 years of diverse experience managing brands and reputations and creating marketing strategies. Her strategic work spans the gamut from sports to music entertainment and from technology and energy, to space exploration.

Toni Harrison is CEO of Etched Communications, a full-service agency with offices in Houston and Chicago. Etched specializes in public relations, multicultural communication and crisis management to produce award-winning campaigns for global consumer brands, governmental entities and nonprofits. Toni earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas – Austin and completed graduate coursework at UCLA.

Jericka Duncan is a CBS News national correspondent and anchor of the Sunday edition of the “CBS Weekend News.” Duncan has reported significant stories such as accusations against R. Kelly, Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein; the shooting deaths of four Marines and a Navy sailor in Chattanooga; and the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Most recently, Duncan reported from Pennsylvania for the 2020 presidential election and interviewed the mother of Breonna Taylor, including breaking the news to the CBS audience that no one would be charged directly with Taylor’s death. Duncan has received two Edward Murrow Awards, honors from the Associated Press and the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, which named her Journalist of the Year in 2012. Before joining CBS News, Duncan worked at KYW, the CBS-owned TV station in Philadelphia and WIVB, the CBS station in Buffalo, N.Y. She began her career in 2005 in Elmira, N.Y.

Omar Villafranca is a CBS News correspondent based in Dallas, Texas. He has reported for CBS News on the ground at the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, and along the destructive path of Hurricanes Harvey and Maria. Villafranca has been part of CBS News’ multi-platform, multi-broadcast coverage of the shooting of five police officers in Dallas.

Rodney Hawkins is a producer for CBS News based in Dallas, Texas. Recently, he has produced the network’s ground coverage for the deaths of Jordan Edwards, Botham Jean and, most recently, Ahmaud Arbery. Before working for in the Southern Bureau, he worked in New York for CBS This Morning, the Digital Journalist unit and the Political unit as an embed for the 2012 presidential election.

Alicia Alford is a producer at the CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell. She’s spent most of her 10 years at CBS News covering breaking news, including the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014, and most recently, George Floyd in Minneapolis. She’s also produced hard news feature stories impacting African Americans, including a report from Reserve, Louisiana, a predominately Black town in “Cancer Alley” that’s home to some of the most toxic air in America.

Lee Merritt became a household name after fighting in several high- profile cases for the families of Black men and women who have died at the hands of police. He is the attorney representing the family of Ahmaud Arbery, who was slain in February by two men who law enforcement officials say chased him down and shot him.

Carol Y. Dudley has been serving students at Howard University for 44 years. In her current role she serves as Manager of Employee Relations for the university-wide Career Services Office. Prior to this appointment, she served as Director of Career Development for the Howard University School of Communications.

Robin Turner is Director of Editorial Diversity Initiatives at Politico, charged with advancing diversity and inclusion in the newsroom, including recruitment and mentorship of journalists of color. She oversees the POLITICO Journalism Institute, a 10-day training program for emerging journalists, and one-day programs for top talent in the Politico newsroom.

An experienced recruiting leader, Roz Francuz-Harris has worked at some of the largest enterprises and fastest-growing tech and media companies. A champion for underrepresented and underserved communities, she strives for equity in the technology and media space through pipeline initiatives, hiring strategies, development opportunities and retention-motivated programming.

Talia Buford covers disparities in environmental impacts for ProPublica. She has previously covered energy policy, legal affairs and labor issues for The Center for Public Integrity, POLITICO Pro, and The Providence (R.I.) Journal. She is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Hampton University.

Zahira Torres is a senior editor for the Local Reporting Network. Prior to joining ProPublica, she was the first Latina editor of the El Paso Times in Texas. Torres, who started her career in El Paso, was also a reporter at the Denver Post and the Los Angeles Times.

Charles Ornstein is a deputy managing editor at ProPublica. In that role, he oversees ProPublica’s local initiatives, including the Local Reporting Network and a new investigative unit with the Texas Tribune. He has covered health care for ProPublica, the Los Angeles Times and the Dallas Morning News.

Ken Ward Jr. is a ProPublica reporter covering West Virginia and co-founder of Mountain State Spotlight. While at the Charleston Gazette-Mail, he produced two projects for the Local Reporting Network, focusing on West Virginia’s natural gas industry and the business empire of Gov. Jim Justice.
