Alejandra Nieto is the R&D Project Manager at ROCKWOOL North America and a Certified Passive House Consultant. Her role includes conceptualizing and managing applied research and development projects related to advancing the knowledge base of full enclosure performance for industry, encompassing building science, fire and acoustics related topics. Her current projects focus on overall thermal performance and energy efficiency, in-situ monitoring and analysis of enclosure systems for increased durability and resiliency and developing solutions for passive fire and acoustical control.
Alejandra holds a Master of Building Science from Ryerson University; with a background in construction science and management, and architectural technology from George Brown College. She is an active member in multiple ASHRAE technical committees; and is fluent in multiple modelling and simulation software including AutoCAD, WUFI, Heat 3, and THERM.
