Alexis Giese, MD

Alexis Giese, MD is Senior Vice President of Healthcare Systems and Chief Medical Officer at Colorado Access, a community-based non-profit health plan serving Medicaid, CHP+, and other underserved populations. She oversees the overarching health strategy for the organization, including population management, clinical priorities and programming, quality and outcomes, and care management. Her contributions have led to expansion in integrated behavioral health care and telepsychiatry innovations to meet the unique needs of Medicaid members and providers. Dr. Giese is a practicing physician with extensive clinical experience in direct patient care, clinical system leadership, and consulting. She is the author of over 36 scholarly publications and is a Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine.
