Alison Whyte

Alison Whyte is the Executive Director of the DC Developmental Disabilities Council, as well as a Person Centered Thinking trainer of The Learning Community for Person Centered Practices (TLCPCP) and a co-facilitator of the DC Supporting Families Community of Practice and the DC Community of Practice for Cultural and Linguistic Competence. Alison leads grassroots efforts to engage families and advocates in systems and culture change through policy advocacy and program development. Alison teaches and supports person centered practices in the District by supporting people with intellectual disabilities to become trainers and self-advocates. Additionally, Alison serves on the Board of Directors of Art Enables and TLCPCP. Alison loves animals, being outdoors as much as possible, biking around DC, and practicing her Spanish and American Sign Language skills.
