Allison J. Davis is a founder of the National Association of Black Journalists serving as the organization’s first Parliamentarian and second Vice President. For over four decades, she has remained active in NABJ serving as a featured speaker and mentor in its iconic Student Mentoring Project. In 2016, Davis was inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame.. She has had a long career in television news both on a local and national level. Davis helped build MSNBC and MSNBC.com and served on the launch team in 1996, Presently, Davis leads her own production company providing in-person and virtual services to many organizations. She serves on the executive board of Poets & Writers and Boston University’s Black Alumni Leadership Council. Davis has been an adjunct professor at CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism, Howard University’s School of Communications and the City College of New York.
