Alvin Gainey is a long time child advocate with leadership at every level of PTA,
currently serving as: a member of National PTA’s Nominating and Leadership
Recruitment Committee; the Secretary of Florida PTA; the Bylaws Chair and Executive Committee Member for Georgia PTA, a member of the Governance and Convention Committees for North Carolina PTA; and as a Past President of Miami-Dade County Council.

Alvin’s guiding principles are his faith, family, and service to others; serving as a mentor with the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Program, as a certified school volunteer with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and in various community organizations. Alvin brings energy, humor, keen insight and unmatched passion to all that he does and his unique experience and varied skill set enhances his service and commitment. Alvin is married to Jessica; the father of three: Kiera, Alvin, III and Alyssa; and is an experienced funeral services professional.
