Amir Vera

Amir Vera is a writer for CNN Digital. He joined CNN in 2018 after two years as an online breaking news reporter at The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Virginia. Prior to that he was a staff writer at The Progress-Index in Petersburg, Virginia. Vera is an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University and currently president of the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists.
