Amy Sullivan

News Director
CBS 4 Rio Grande Valley/Local 23 News, KVWO-TV

Amy Sullivan is a Nexstar News Director in the Rio Grande Valley, overseeing the NBC/CBS duopoly. Sullivan’s newsroom of 60 produces 50-hrs of news a week. Their big coverage areas include immigration, political corruption and severe weather. Through her career, she has worked in Louisiana, Kansas and Oklahoma before settling in Texas. Sports was her first love in news, but once she learned the aspect of control she could have as a producer, she moved behind the camera. News is not Sullivan’s first career – she also was a pastry chef and a weapons loader in the United States Air Force.
