Corey Rose is a multimedia journalist and multi-disciplinary artist from Jacksonville, Florida. With a BA in Journalism and double minors in Theatre and Communication, Rose is continuously on a mission to grow as an artist and a person. While conducting research on the effectiveness of early HIV/AIDS campaigns on communities of color, he directed FAU’s first play by a Black playwright, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf.” In addition to founding the Black Undergraduate Theatre Collective at FAU, he is the student rep for the South Florida chapter of the National Association of LGBT Journalists, and is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
