Brett A. Pulley is the bureau chief at Bloomberg News in Atlanta, responsible for coverage of the greater southeastern U.S. Pulley served four years as dean of the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications at Hampton University, preceded by three years covering media and entertainment at Bloomberg in New York. Formerly a senior editor at Forbes, a national correspondent at The New York Times, and a reporter at the Wall Street Journal, Pulley is the author of “The Billion Dollar BET” (John Wiley & Sons, April 2004). He served as CEO of NewYork.com, and as an executive vice president at Weber Shandwick. Pulley is a graduate of Hampton, a former member of the university’s trustee board, and an inductee in the school’s Hall of Fame. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School, where he is an advisory board member, and in the Hall of Achievement.
