Catherine McKenzie serves as Executive Producer for ABC News Live and “GMA3: What You
Need to Know.” In this role she launched and created an all-new weekday afternoon program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously McKenzie was a Senior Producer for ABC News Live, America’s #1 streaming news channel. She has been at the forefront of producing ABC News’ live streaming coverage.
McKenzie began her career with ABC News in 2009 as a Senior Producer for “Good Morning America.” She spent 13 years at WABC as a Weekend Morning Producer and Special Projects and Live Events Producer. McKenzie worked as a Supervising Producer at The Queen Latifah Show and as a Senior Broadcast Producer at CBS Interactive where she helped launch CBSN.
McKenzie attended St. Olaf College and studied Speech-Theater with an emphasis in Communication and currently resides in New York City.
