Cheryl McDowell

Cheryl has over 30 years of experience in the areas of insurance and risk management and holds the following designations: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Insurance Services Representative (CISR) and Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM). She is one of two people in our Education Practice Group to receive the very first Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) designation in the State of California and has served as a national faculty member for the National Alliance CSRM certification program.

Cheryl has been a featured speaker at CAIS (California Association of Independent Schools), NBOA (National Business Officers Association), NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools), TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools), and a number of other school associations on subjects ranging from the basics of insurance for schools to high level risk management consulting. Cheryl is also the architect behind Bolton’s online harassment training program for supervisors and managers for educational schools. Cheryl currently works with education risks in reviewing and improving their existing risk management and insurance programs, including coordination of forensic audits of the school’s existing risk management and insurance programs.”
