Chip Mahaney

Chip has nearly 40 years of experience in journalism, primarily in TV and digital operations, with 20 years in leadership at local and corporate levels. In Chip’s tenure at Scripps, he has served in multiple leadership roles at the corporate headquarters and as News Director at Scripps’ hometown station, WCPO. Before Scripps, Chip worked in local newsrooms in the FOX, Raycom, Gannett and Belo station groups. In his current role, Chip leads Scripps’ outreach to early-career and college journalists
