Daniel Piselli

Daniel Piselli joined FXCollaborative in 2005, was named a Senior Associate in 2015 and Director of Sustainability in 2018. Dan guides the office’s sustainability strategy and leads implementation of those strategies on multiple projects. He has 20 years of experience and has led design teams on educational, cultural, residential and infrastructure projects, most recently on the Statue of Liberty Museum. Dan has extensive experience in sustainable design including many LEED projects, including LEED Platinum and net zero energy efforts. He co-authored a research study entitled “Feasibility Study to Implement the Passive House Standard on Tall Residential Buildings”, and has worked on Passive House & EnerPHit efforts with the New York City School Construction Authority, multiple institutions of higher education, and private clients. He is also an industry leader in bird-friendly building design.
