David Kay is Chief Professional Conduct Officer with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA), the nursing regulator and association.
Prior to joining the CARNA in June 2019, David was Assistant Registrar, Chief Operating Officer, and Hearings Director of Alberta?s medical regulator, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), for 3 years. And for 19 years prior to joining CPSA, David acted as the Executive Director for RPAP | Health Workforce for Alberta. RPAP is a rural health workforce agency funded by the Alberta Ministry of Health.
David is a member of the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) serving on its Executive Leadership Program for Regulators Committee, the Regulatory Agency Administration Committee, and the Board Member Training Committee.
David is a Certified Health Executive with CCHL, a Fellow of the American College, and board certified in health care management. Mr. Kay holds a Master?s in Health Administration from the Univ
