Dawn Hobdy, MSW, LICSW Vice President of Ethics, Diversity and Inclusion. In her new role, Hobdy will focus on improving diversity and inclusion at NASW, including the 215 association employees at the Washington DC headquarters and the 55 chapters. She plans to share and implement best practices, helping NASW become a true leader in diversity and inclusion that will be benchmarked by other organizations. In her previous role as Ethics Director in the NASW Office of Ethics and Professional Review, Hobdy earned years of expertise and commitment to ethics and advocacy. In this position, she was responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the overall vision and structure of the nationwide ethics and professional review programs. Hobdy is a Bronx, NY native, who earned her master’s degree in social work from Howard University. She also trained and advised social workers worldwide on how to perform their life-affirming work at the highest ethical standards.
