Dedrick Russell

Dedrick Russell is an award-Winning and Emmy-nominated reporter/host at WBTV in Charlotte, N.C. He has been with the station for nearly 18 years. During that time, Dedrick was the education reporter at WBTV for more than 12 years. Dedrick has reported the news in Beaufort, S.C. and Washington, D.C., before moving to Charlotte. Dedrick is a graduate of Virginia State University and received an M.S. in Communication from Syracuse University in 2020. Dedrick is married and currently has a daughter in college majoring in Elementary Education.
