Deon J. Hampton is a two-time national reporting award winner. Covered the 2020 presidential election from Ohio and Pennsylvania for NBC News. Uncovered nearly 300 Covid-19 deaths inside nursing homes in Ohio. His reporting in New York directly led to a town completely disbanding in November of 2017. An investigative series he spearheaded on Long Island resulted in New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signing the Zombie House Bill. Part of a four-member team that won two national awards for investigative and local reporting.
