Dr. Rachel King

Rachel King, Ph.D., is a Registered Psychologist who completed her doctoral degree at the University of Alberta in 2019 and won the PAA Dissertation of the Year Award. Rachel has taught as a sessional lecturer at both the University of Alberta and Concordia University of Edmonton, and has published research in the areas of hope and resilience. She completed her residency with the Edmonton Consortium in 2018. She began her clinical career at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital where she worked in the outpatient DBT program for several years. She is currently in private practice at Edgar Psychological and is involved in launching a comprehensive treatment program through the DBT Care Centre.  She has a clinical interest in the treatment of emotion dysregulation and Borderline Personality Disorder. Rachel lives near the river valley in Edmonton with her husband, son, and golden retriever.
