Dusty Baker

Dusty Baker

Manager
Houston Astros, Houston, Texas

Dusty Baker, 72, is the winningest Black manager in Major League Baseball history with more than 1,900 victories, one of just 13 managers to eclipse that win total. He became the first manager to lead five different teams to the playoffs, which speaks to his longevity and power to pivot towards success wherever he has gone. His managerial prowess has been rewarded by being named National League Manager of the Year three times (1993, 1997, 2000). His success from the dugout came after an impressive 19 seasons as a player, in which he was named an all-star twice and the National League Championship Series MVP in 1977.
