Erin Neubert currently serves as an assistant professor of humanities and the humanities department chair within the undergraduate college. Erin began her career in education as a middle-school teacher at a dual-language school in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. She transitioned to various administrative roles where she took a lead developing assessment and data analysis systems, evaluation and professional development structures, and approaches to instruction and curriculum. She was also the founding academic director for a K-8th grade elementary school on the far West Side of Chicago that serves over 550 students.

Most recently, Erin has taught multiple humanities, art, and career development college courses in the Chicagoland area. Erin is passionate about providing all students with access to a high-quality educational experience and loves working with students. She is committed to the importance of humanities instruction and believes it is critical to developing one’s values and identity.

Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and Spanish from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in humanities from the University of Chicago. She enjoys running and reading when she is not spending time with her husband and three children.
