Gary Cotton

Gary Cotton is a producer for CNN’s mobile programming team. He previously worked for MLB.com, where he was a reporter and editorial producer focused on breaking news. Cotton has worked in news media since he was sixteen years old. He wrote, anchored and produced video news packages for Newsy.com before taking on roles at The Missourian, NBC affiliate KOMU, NPR affiliate KBIA, Odyssey, FLEX magazine, Men’s Fitness magazine, Hers magazine, and Muscle & Fitness magazine. Cotton is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and a graduate of both the Missouri School of Journalism and the Sports Journalism Institute. In his free time, he likes to play the saxophone, play video games and work out.
