Graeme Keirstead

Graeme Keirstead graduated with a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1991 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1992. He left a small community practice to join the Law Society in 1999, where he was responsible for several different portfolios, including the development of the in-house custodianships program and the intake and early resolution of complaints.
Graeme joined the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC in 2013 as its chief legal counsel. In 2020 Graeme was also designated by the College as deputy registrar.
Graeme is the College’s senior management team member responsible for the provision of all legal services, including investigations and discipline, litigation management, is the head of the college for records and privacy, and oversees medical corporations. Graeme also provides governance support and guidance to the College’s Board and committees.
