Heather Henderson

Heather Henderson has been investing in the I/DD community over the last 10 years. Though her career started in Architecture and Design, she pivoted her focus to the disability community when a friend asked her to consider joining The Arc Tennessee’s People Talking to People program. Since then, she has worked as a Direct Support Professional, Program Manager for a provider agency, an Independent Support Coordinator, Person Centered Practice Facilitator with The Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and now fulfilling her dream role by leading The Arc Tennessee’s Advocacy team. Her goal is to see all self-advocates live the life they choose and be empowered through advocacy.
