Jeremy Shannon is a Registered Architect and Director of Sustainable Design and Resiliency for the NYC School Construction Authority, the public agency that designs and builds all of NYC’s new public schools and oversees capital improvements of the more than sixteen hundred existing public school buildings. He is a founding member and served on the Board of NY Passive House and is devoted to expanding the implementation of low energy intensity building construction and all things sustainable. Prior to working in the public sector Jeremy was the principle of a design-build firm that specialized in Passive House buildings and design-built more than a dozen projects to Passive House International Standards. He is currently heading up the New York City School Construction Authority’s sustainability efforts to design their next generation of public schools to near Passive House, net zero levels.
