Jesse Washington is a journalist for ESPN’s The Undefeated and co-author of “I Came as a Shadow,” the autobiography of former Georgetown University basketball coach John Thompson. Before joining The Undefeated, Washington covered race in America for The Associated Press. He has been editor in chief of two magazines, about hip-hop and street basketball, and published two coffee-table art books.
