NABJ Founder Joe Davidson is a Washington Post columnist and a former Wall Street Journal Washington and foreign correspondent. Joe reported from South Africa during apartheid and covered Nelson Mandela immediately after his release from prison, as well as his presidential election and the creation of a democratic South Africa. He was worked for news organizations in his native Detroit and Philadelphia. Joe is in the NABJ and Washington DC Halls of Fame, was in the charter class of Poynter Ethics Fellows and was a two-time Pulitzer Prize juror.
