Johann Calhoun

Johann Calhoun is the Bureau Chief for Chalkbeat Philadelphia. He’s responsible for guiding the bureau’s coverage decisions and priorities on educational equity in the city. He is a former Senior Editor at The Philadelphia Tribune and has taught computer assisted reporting as an adjunct instructor at Temple University and has served as Region I Director for the National Association of Black Journalists and chapter president for the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists.
