Joseph Rubino has been with RB for 33 years. He currently holds the position of Director in Research & Development working on special projects. Prior to this Joe was R&D Director for Equity, Claims and Compliance supporting Lysol, Dettol and Harpic brands. During his time with the company, he has taken on many different functional and managerial responsibilities in R&D including microbiology/virology, product development, consumer sensory science, regulatory compliance, analytical chemistry and clinical testing. Joe began his career with the company in 1987 as Group Leader for the Microbiology and Virology Laboratories when it was L&F Products. Joe was previously with Gibraltar Biological Laboratories, a contract microbiology laboratory where he worked as a microbiologist. Joe began his professional career as a Biology Teacher at Lodi High School in New Jersey.

Joe holds a B.A. in Biology from Upsala College, as well as an M.A. in Biology from Montclair State University. He also attended New York Medical College where he studies public health. Joe has both authored and co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles on antimicrobial agents, transmission of infectious agents and infection control strategies for example in journals such as the American Journal of Infection Control and Nature Scientific. He is a member of several trade and professional associations including the American Cleaning Institute where he sits on several task forces and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Prevention.
