Kate Johanns, CAE

Kate Johanns, CAE, serves as the marketing and communications director for the Association of Texas Professional Educators, the nation’s largest independent educators association and the largest educators association in Texas. Her previous professional experience includes time with a nonunion state employees association and an association management company. A native of El Paso, Texas, Kate is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and currently lives in Austin. Her work in association communications has been recognized by the Angerosa Research Foundation, Association Media & Publishing, and the Association for Women in Communications. She is actively involved in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as a national vice chair and state chair.
