Kezia Cox is an East Tennessee native and tireless self-advocate with a passion for teaching others to advocate for themselves. Growing up, she had always been told about all the things she couldn’t do, however, she determined that she would accomplish her goals and dreams. Kezia has been a participant of the UT FUTURE program and a graduate of Project Search. She has been employed at the University of Tennessee Medical Center since 2017. Kezia is a certified People Planning Together trainer and has been a presenter at the TN Disability Mega-Conference. She leads Self-Advocacy meetings for her MCO and just recently completed the Peer Support Academy. Kezia says, “Disability is not something that should hold you back, but should inspire you to work harder and dream bigger and show the world what you can do.”
