Kristin Husman

Kristin Huseman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana and Illinois.  She is the Police Social Worker for the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s Police Department.  Kristin started her career as a case worker for the Indiana Department of Child Services.  She has enjoyed gaining valuable social work experience in hospice and veteran’s services.  She most recently was working in the Mental Health Department at the Lake County Jail before crossing over to the police side to start the PARI program, Police Assisted Recovery Initiative, for the Lake County Sheriff’s Police department in response to the Opioid Epidemic. 

Kristin is a Boilermaker having completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Purdue University, after which she completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of New England. 

Kristin is the mother of three small, wild children, and enjoys spending time outside with her family.
