Lynsay Nair, LPN, is the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (SALPN). Lynsay started her career in professional regulation in 2009 as the SALPN Practice Consultant and assumed the role of Executive Director in 2013. During Lynsay?s tenure as Executive Director, she has led the SALPN through significant change with a voluntary abandonment of the long-standing dual mandate role of regulator and advocate of the profession to acting solely as the self-regulating body for the profession. Lynsay is Vice-Chair of the National Nursing Assessment Service, Chair of Saskatchewan?s Network of Interprofessional Regulatory Organizations, and the Chair of the Canadian Council of Practical Nurse Regulators. Prior to entering the field of regulation, Lynsay was a front line Licensed Practical Nurse, working primarily in Emergency.
