Marc Spears

Marc J. Spears Is a senior NBA writer for ESPN’s The Undefeated. The Bay Area native has been covering the NBA since 1999 and has been sports writer since 1995. Spears is a former chair of the National Association of Black Journalists Sports Task Force. The Louisiana State University Master’s graduate co-produced an award-winning documentary called Katrina Cop in the Superdome. The award-winning journalist, who also has a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State, also co-wrote the The Spencer Haywood Rule: Battles, Basketball and the Making of an American Iconoclast with Gary Washburn.
