Marcie Stern is an experienced learning and leadership development professional. She joined the Alzheimer’s Association in 2020 with responsibility for leading the development and implementation of organizayitonal and talent development processes for nearly 2,000 employees. In this role, Marcie provides leadership in the areas of employee engagement and development, organization design, and talent management.
Previously, Marcie served in learning and leadership development roles at Aspen Dental Management, Inc. where she developed and executed a learning strategy for 1,300+ doctors and at Allstate Insurance advancing and developing leaders and helping build Allstate’s succession pipeline of talented and engaged leaders. Marcie was also the founder and president of Marcie Stern & Associates, a professional development consulting, coaching, and speaking business. Prior to launching her own business, Marcie supported healthcare organizations with business development, strategic planning, and physician relations competencies.
Marcie studied Health Services Administration earning both a master’s degree from Arizone State University and a bachelor’s degree from University of Arizona. She completed the Registered Leadership Coaching certification and is currently a faculty membver of the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Marcie is proud to add “author” to her bio, having published her first book, “So Long Inner Critici, Hello Inner Champion: 25 Tips to Master Your Mindset” in 2013. Her three pillars are positive attitude, deliberate actions, and personal accountability.
Marcie and her husband, Scott, live in the Chicago suburbs, and when their youngest of two sons started college in 2021, have transitioned to being “empty-nesters.”
