Marcus Mabry is the Vice President of Global Programming for CNN Digital Worldwide. Mabry oversees all digital programming efforts across CNN’s platforms and products including CNN.com, edition.CNN.com, CNN Politics and CNN Business across mobile, social, desktop. Prior to taking on this position, Mabry led CNN’s mobile programming team during a time when CNN repeatedly broke audience records, routinely reaching the best months on record in mobile. Mabry joined CNN from Twitter, where he ran the TwitterMoments product for U.S. and Canadian audiences. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at The New York Times as international business editor, a national politics editor and a digital editor. He was previously the president of the Overseas Press Club of America and the author of two books, one on Condoleezza Rice and another on Black America. He’s a former national secretary of the NLGJA, a Lifetime Member of NABJ and the co-founder of NABJ’s LGBTQ+ Task Force.
