Marjorie Hickey

Marjorie is a Partner in the Halifax office of McInnes Cooper with a varied litigation and administrative law practice with a focus on regulatory and liability issues for professionals. She represents many professional regulatory bodies such as the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Architects Association, and several others. Marjorie has acted in many cases to investigate complaints, prosecute disciplinary matters, chair adjudicative panels, act as independent counsel to panels or as defence counsel to professionals charged with disciplinary violations. She also acts as defence counsel to insurers of professionals. She appears before all levels of court in Nova Scotia and before many administrative tribunals.
