Mary Antón, Ed.D.

Dr. Mary Antón is the co-chair of POCIS NorCal, People of Color in Northern California. In her role with POCIS, Mary provides programming for Independent Schools and facilitates the Bay Area DEI practitioners group and the upcoming Equity Teams PLCs as well as co-facilitating upcoming Heads of Schools discussions. Mary has a doctorate from Harvard Graduate School of Education and currently works as a Coach for RIDES (Reimagining Integration for Diverse and Equitable Schools) out of Harvard. In this capacity and through her own firm, Mary leads teams in implementing equity improvement cycles, equity instructional rounds and systemic change visioning. She coaches school leaders in strategic planning for equity improvement across the country. A national presenter and writer, Mary has over 40 years experience in public and independent school education and believes that mentoring and supporting our aspiring leaders of color is a critical step in bringing about stronger and more equitable schools for all.
