Melanie Honsbruch

Melanie has been a certified Benefits Counselor for 18 years. Melanie’s experience includes direct service provision in employment services and benefits counseling, including assisting families, persons with disabilities, and their support systems understand the application process for Social Security benefits, through eligibility and how work interacts with all benefits. Melanie then worked for the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to build benefits counseling capacity and awareness within the Division before her current work with the Colorado Office of Employment First. Melanie is now working to expand awareness of and access to benefits counseling statewide and increase capacity of benefits counseling in the state.
