Michelle Cheng

Michelle Cheng is the Project Manager, Registration at Engineers and Geoscientists BC. She manages the Canadian Environment Competencies project as well as foreign qualifications recognition initiatives. Her work focuses on helping internationally trained professionals address the barriers they face practising engineering and geoscience in Canada by integrating different perspectives to examine policies and to develop alternative pathways for internationally trained professionals to meet the requirements for professional licensure while upholding the high academic and experience standards for all applicants and members.
Michelle has been with Engineers and Geoscientists BC since 2012. She obtained her BBA from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Information Systems and Finance. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with a graduate degree in Forensic Investigation of Fraud and Financial Crime.
