Michelle McCalope

Michelle McCalope is an award-winning journalist, author and communications guru with more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She currently serves as the Director of Marketing/Communications for CareSouth Medical and Dental in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prior to that, she served as the communications director for Baton Rouge Mayor Sharon Weston Broome and Mayor Kip Holden. She also served as president of On Assignment Media. She previously worked as a TV and print journalist in markets across the country including Chicago and Houston. Her work has been featured in JET magazine, People, Time, Oprah’s magazine and the Houston Chronicle.
