Michael ‘Dr. T’ Tokiwa is a self described CanAsian and Connector. He is a practicing veterinarian, business owner, and media personality.

He has successfully cultivated an environment conducive to the growth and quality of life for those within his practice, and continues to embrace progressive medical standards for pet health. He believes this approach enhances the bond between the pets and the people who love them.

Michael began his media career as the host of Your Pet Matters, an educational radio show. Through this and his Collaborative Vet YouTube Channel and podcast, he connects with people within the profession and beyond, and creates fun and educational content.

Outside of veterinary medicine, his interests are varied. This chocoholic can be found creating great memories with his family, jamming on his drum kit, learning the ukelele, riding on his OneWheel or motorcycle, or trying not to crash his drone.
