Mikhael Simmonds

Mikhael Simmonds works with newsrooms in Africa and the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. on solutions-focused reporting. As multimedia lead, he also works to expand and improve the support SJN offers to its growing network of newsrooms. Before SJN, Mikhael was a freelance multimedia journalist. Over the years, he has worked with a number of news and not-for-profit organizations including Democracy Now!, New York Amsterdam News and the UN Department of Public Information and NGO Relations. Mikhael has also taught at the City University of New York.
