Monica L. Belk is a television director with nearly 25 years of experience in the industry. She currently works at ESPN out of its Charlotte, North Carolina facility. Belk directs live telecasts for the family of ESPN networks and various studio shows for the SEC Network. Her latest major assignment was directing the opening rounds of the NCAA Women’s Basketball
Tournament from a Charlotte control room, utilizing camera feeds from San Antonio, Texas while integrating on-air talent from their perspective homes. Before returning to ESPN in 2010, Belk spent ten years working in multiple capacities at Turner Sports. She won five Emmys for her work on Inside the NBA as well as Hawks basketball and Braves baseball telecasts. Her most important “gig” is being a wife to Adolphus Belk, Jr. and a mom to Nia, age 7, and Nathaniel, age 6.
