Monica Trasandes

Monica Trasandes is the Director of Spanish-Language & Latinx Media & Representation at GLAAD. She was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and grew up in California. She has a B.A. in International Relations from U.C. Santa Barbara and an MFA from Emerson College in Boston. She has worked as a reporter and as a magazine editor. At GLAAD since 2008, Monica is proud to play a role in increasing LGBTQ representation in media.
