Montrel Tennessee is the Project Manager for the Partnerships in Employment (PIE) systems change grant for DC Department on Disability Services. The PIE grant is a 5 year systems change grant that is focused on transforming state systems to promote competitive integrated employment outcomes for youth and young adults with I/DD. He specializes in program management, youth development, and youth transition. Over the past 6 years, Montrel has had the opportunity to work within non-profit organizations, school systems, and local government in the areas of workforce development and postsecondary access. Montrel has participated in the development of Direct Support Professional Academy and is currently leading the district’s Think College initiative with the University of the District of Columbia. Montrel is a graduate of George Mason University, where he received is BA in Psychology and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he received is M.Ed. in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership.
