Nancy Redd is an American Library Association award winner, an NAACP Image Award nominee and a New York Times bestselling author. Her debut picture book, “Bedtime Bonnet”, focuses on Black nighttime hair rituals and was chosen by the American Library Association’s Black Caucus as a “Best of the Best” book for 2020 and was called “the best children’s book of 2020” by The Grio. Nancy is also a senior staff writer at The New York Times’s Wirecutter. Her new children’s book, “The Real Santa”, is based on her son’s sweet efforts to find out what Santa really looks like.
