Olivia Brown

Olivia Brown is the founder and Executive Director of Southern California People of Color in Independent Schools (SoCal POCIS).Olivia has led the organization to become one of the forerunners in the Southern California independent school community. Olivia has been on various boards as well as being a mentor and moderator at national conferences. After retiring, Olivia returned to independent schools five years ago; she is currently a Teaching Assistant at the Wesley School in Los Angeles, where she also serves as a SEED Facilitator and is involved in building cross-cultural communication for faculty and staff. Olivia earned her Master’s degree at Pacific Oaks College. She believes that through partnership, meaningful conversations and action, change is possible.
