Paula Zimin

Paula Zimin is the Director of the Sustainable Building Services group at Steven Winter Associates, Inc. Her focus is on sustainable building and energy efficiency strategies for the new construction and renovation market. With a professional background in architecture and design, she has developed expertise in high performance design for both commercial and residential sectors over the last 20 years. Paula’s group includes SWA’s Commercial Green Programs team who assists with commercial green building certifications, as well as SWA’s Energy Analytics team which assists project teams in understanding building loads and evaluating passive and active strategies for energy use reduction. She is a former Chair of USGBC’s Energy & Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group having led the LEED v4.1 credit updates in that category. She volunteers on the AIA New York Committee on the Environment and participates in the Cross-Learning Alliance, an educational collaboration of the local AIA and ASHRAE chapters with the Urban Green Council.
